Madrona Auto to Become Pike Station
After over seven years of planning, artist Tom Flood and his team have finally broken ground on Pike Station, a seven-unit townhome project in the heart of downtown Madrona. The iconic gas station that had been the welcoming beacon to the Madrona business district for over 70 years has been demolished - to make way for this cutting-edge residential development.
Since the gas station was decommissioned in the late 1960’s the property has enjoyed many uses; as Tom’s studio for 17 years and most recently as Madrona Biofuels and Dirty Hands Co-op; which manufactured and distributed B99 biodiesel made from the waste vegetable oil from some of our neighborhood restaurants.
Countless hours of design and creativity are finally coming together to build this exciting project.
Sustainable design and integrated sculpture are the driving forces behind Pike Station.
